Facebook ‘You Decide’ vote winner – Sunset LandscapeInkylicious

Hiya crafty friends,

Pinnable imagesWell, my Facebook crafty friends decided on today’s tutorial. There was a choice between a Sunset or Winter landscape and by the narrowest margin (just one vote!) Sunset won. I enjoyed chatting to you all whilst voting, so would you like me to do this again in the future.

So, here we go…

I cut a piece of Inkylicious stamping card 7×7″, as I am planning to put it on a 8×8 card, and then used a large A5 sticky-note and placed it where I would like the horizon to be.

I placed some Scattered Straw Distress Ink onto my blending mat and brushed filling the area above the sticky note.

20150924_174208I die cut a circle, for the sun, from a sticky note making sure that there was the adhesive on the back and then placed onto the area I had just inked.

20150924_174422Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink was then brushed and blended halfway down the area.

20150924_174331 20150924_174852Fossilised Amber was then blended approximately a quarter way down the area.20150924_174859 20150924_181326Fired Brick Distress Ink was used just along the top edge to finish the sky.

20150924_181352 20150924_181755To add the land I placed an Inkylicious Mountain-Valley Stencil where I wanted the land to be and sponged some Memento Tuxcedo Black ink.

20150924_181859 20150924_182100 20150924_182135I stamped an Unmounted Stamp Company – Winter Tree on the land, using Tuxcedo Black ink again.20150924_182547Remove all the masks…

20150924_182652…and place it over the inked area.20150924_182806Brush Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink over the whole white area.

20150924_182851 The ‘sun’ mask was place symmetrically to the other to form its reflection. 20150924_183249Fossilised Amber and Fired Brick Distress Ink was used again but this time I applied slightly lighter as it this would be the reflection20150924_183255 20150924_183535 20150924_183712Place the Mountain-Valley Stencil symmetrically underneath the the land and sponge some Memento London Fog ink

20150924_183821 20150924_184012Remove all the masks…20150924_184056…and then stamp the trees reflection with Memento London Fog ink20150924_184214I then took the Inkylicious Meadowlands stamp and placed it on my stamp press…

20150924_184520…and stamped along the bottom of the image.20150924_184834 20150924_185044Such a simple stamp collection, the Inkylicious Take Flight 2 set, but I find itย  really finishes an image off.

20150924_185244 20150924_185538Once you’ve stamped the birds in the sky, don’t re-ink the stamp. Turn the image around and stamp their reflection.20150924_185543And here’s the finished image
